The Wretro Wriders Club is both a virtual and a real group of motorcyclists who ride Kawasaki's new W650, as well as any of the other older Kawasaki/Meguro W and K series motorcycles. Honourary members include motorcyclists with any classic or vintage vertical twin motorcycle. As soon as we have the information, we will post information here on Wretro events, local groups, Kawasaki news, accessories, and so on. We will also try to promote the W in a non-commercial fashion, and try to encourage Kawasaki and other manufacturers to bring our accessories and other models.

Join the Wretro Wriders ClubThere will be no charge for membership, but we will ask you to fill out an application form to register. I am currently looking into patches, badges, decals, T-shirts and other accessories to sell online to members. The logo is at the left. Anyone with contacts in the industry who can get wholesale prices - please contact me ASAP! If we get large enough to warrant the expense and effort, I will consider publishing a newsletter to mail out (similar to Triumph's Torque and Harley's Hog Tales) to members. Subscription costs will be worked out at that time.

Arrangements for payment for accessories etc. will be made at a later date, either through a secure web site transaction or through our existing business for credit card transactions (I own a Mail Boxes Etc. franchise in Collingwood, ON). No one will be billed or asked to supply credit card information until we have product in hand to sell.

I will also pursue creating an online forum for members to exchange ideas, comments, events, etc.

Wriders Unite! The first event coming up in Canada is the Central Ontario Ride For Sight, June 15-17, at the GNE Fairgrounds just outside Collingwood, Ontario. I want to make this into a W650 gathering. Let's show a presence! See www.rideforsight.org/ for information. It's a great event, a terrific fundraiser and a chance to show off our bikes to thousands of other riders.

Submissions for designs etc. are welcome. Please email your artwork at ichadwick@sympatico.ca. I will not use anything without your prior approval: you retain the copyright on any item submitted. This is just to co-develop some ideas.

I recommend you immediately join the eGroups W650Registry for information, updates, and to contact other Wriders. Also, check my links page for contacts with other vintage/classic motorcycle groups.
